Raising up Leaders

What do you think of when you hear the word "leader"? Do you think of the President of a nation or industry? Maybe a religious figure or military commander. 
We too are leaders. In our daily walk with God, we are to lead others to Christ. Not by being prideful and self-righteous. But in a walk of humility and obedience to Him. As we realize how much we need Him, we desire Him to change us. And the change He makes inside us outwardly reflects how we think, how we act, and what we say daily.

People of Purpose

What purpose do you have in this life? Everyone has one.                                                  What skills......what talents do you have? Do certain things come to you "naturally"?
These are the things God has blessed you with. We are called to glorify Him in everything we do. How do you glorify Him and build His kingdom? He gave you those skills...those talents for a reason. Look at what you have been given and use it for Him. Seek Him in everything you do and He will reveal Himself to you. And then, you will be used to glorify Him and His kingdom.

Answering the Call

The Christian walk is just what it says "Christ"ian.
Christ lives in you and He has chosen you to share His good news.
He also provides you with everything you will need to do this.
Some are called to share on the local streets, others are called help plant new churches in other communities and some even other countries.
The question is, "When He calls, will you answer"?

Facing Problems

Before the symphony begins, we hear the orchestra warming up.
Loud, boisterous, chaotic streams of sound ebb and flow throughout the concert hall. Individual instruments striving for attention. Then the conductor appears...........All fall silent.................
He raises the baton and guides them, as one, to create a glorious harmony.                        Facing problems can be the same way.
Without a conductor in our lives, we are like chaotic sounds striving for attention. 
But, when we look to the Master Conductor, we can face problems and live in harmony.

Authority and Responsibility in the Home

The Bible explains that we are to submit to the authorities God has placed over us. We may not always agree with them, but as followers of Christ, we are to submit to them.
As husbands and wives we are also called to submit.
Unfortunately, our ways are not always the best ways.
Fortunately, God knows that and His ways are always the best ways..

Three Questions We MUST Answer

As Christians in America, we are type-cast. Many talk-the-talk, but don't walk-the-walk. So how do we lead people to Christ? First, we have to NOT be like many Christians. We actually have to walk-the-walk. Then, we have to build a relationship with people. How do we do that? Well, the church is not about DOING, but about BEING and answering just three questions.

Rights.....In this great nation, we have many. The right to freely vote, the right to freely speak, the right to freely choose our religion. We have rights as Christians too. Since time as we know it began, God has been building a church. And it's not made of brick or wood or steel, but of people. Like any good structure, this church must have a solid foundation and strong materials to allow it to weather the storms.
For His church, God is the foundation and His son Jesus is the cornerstone. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are like stones or building blocks in this church. We each have a special purpose and place in His church. What gifts and talents are you using to advance the kingdom of God? God can and will use you. You are the perfect fit!

You ARE the Favorite Child!

Was a brother your parent's "favorite".........maybe a sister? Or was it you?
Money, Talents, Heartache, Sickness...some have more and some have less.                       The amount of God's love for us is not reflected in these things.
Our sins, yours and mine, kept us away from God equally. But, God provided the ultimate gift, His son Jesus, to pay for your sins and mine. He loves you.
What are you going to do with this gift? A gift He gave His favorite child........ You!
